How much does air conditioning cost in Surrey?
As a guide, a single-room wall-mounted split typically costs from around £1,500–£3,000 installed, and a multi-room system from around £3,500–£7,000. Do I need planning permission for air conditioning?
Many domestic installs are permitted development if the outdoor unit meets the size and noise limits (MCS 020 — under 42 dB(A) at the neighbour’s window). Conservation areas, listed buildings, flats and Article 4 areas usually need consent. We assess this at the free survey and handle any application.
Does air conditioning heat as well as cool?
Yes. Modern systems are reverse-cycle — they cool efficiently in summer and provide low-cost heating in winter, which is why air conditioning is also known as an air-to-air heat pump.
Are you F-Gas registered?
Yes. Tempest is F-Gas / REFCOM registered — a legal requirement for any business carrying out refrigerant work in the UK. All refrigerant work is done by certified engineers.
